I was good with Windows 7 but when Windows 10 came out suddenly everything started to fall in a heap.įor some reason IOLO (Who developed System Mechanic) decided to revamp the programme and put out the current version 16 which is quite frankly RUBBISH!! - It seems they took much of the functionality I had relied upon previously (Space Consolidation whichĪctually did make the computer perform faster) and put it into System Mechanic Pro which I can access for a further fee ON TOP OF THE PERPETUAL LICENSE !!Īpart from this, the programme (V16) firstly did not recognise my hard drive as being a regular disk drive and refused to touch it (Claiming it was a SSD) and after MANY interactions with the 'Help Desk' we had to uninstall it and upgrade to the latest iteration Iolo says it is the pinnacle of PC optimization software, capable of breathing new life into aging computers.
